I have not missed many days since I started juicing. The days I miss I can tell I do not feel as good. Kinda sluggish etc... I started the last of February 2013, and lost 25lbs. But I struggle with actual exercise, I know a lot of people think I get all kinds, but not the deep down kind that you actually spend time burning calories. Like 30-45 min a day, plus a nice 30 min Pilate firmer. I was doing all that, and since I have been off track I have gained between 5-8lb.s back........SO.....
I am down 6lb.s as of Wednesday, I will check again in the morning. My scales are broke and I have to go and pick tomatoes in the morning, so I will use my friends. I am hungry. Not really, I think it is in my mind. Because I know I am getting plenty of nutrients, I just like food and crave it. Considering I have been cooking for the family the whole time, I made them chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery in the toaster pan on the grill today, and that is one of my favorites.......Anyway this will be short and sweet, just wanted to check in and let you all know how It is going. I am going to go through till Monday, the 22, I do believe. Keep my in your mind, because I am weak...Thank you all and God Bless Each and Everyone of you~ Misty
<span style="color: purple; font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Hey Yall~Well I am on day 3 of my Juice fast, and I want to be honest, on day one I didn't quite make it, I had a banana in after lunch, and a little bit of yogurt (I am taking antibiotics) and a handful of almonds after my salad for supper. I done well until after lunch. But day 2, I done the 1 day detox, and I didn't cheat. Here is the link to what I followed, well I had coffee around 5am. instead of the warm water with lemon. I tried that on Sun. and it didn't do well with me. :)

http://fitlife.tv/1-day-detox-to-reset-your-system/

And I used the Total Tea Gentle Detox at the end of the day. It was Hard....Considering everyone eating around me....And I don't normally like banana's that well, but boy was I craving one, considering they were right in front of me all day, the the perfect ripeness that I like. And I also had to add a green apple and a red one the the detox juice, I just couldn't get it down w/o them. You should take a sip 1st before you add it to yours. Every ones taste buds are different.

http://www.totaltea.net/Total-Tea--Gentle-Detox_p_8.html Today I will continue juicing, but will return with the reg. type juices I have, they will have some fruit in them. Today I will hold off kale because I had so much of it yesterday, Drew can explain this to you in the 1st post.

Spinach, Celery, Parsley, Carrots, Apples, Pineapple, Oranges, Lemons, Kiwi, & Ginger Root, I will not put them all in at the same time, but I will make enough for my morning juice and a mid day juice, and the same when I make my lunch juice.

It is hard I have to be strong, and when so many temptations are around me, it is trying. I hope that in the next couple days the irritability goes away. So does my family...lol... :)

But in the mean time I have a lot of work to do, I will be cleaning out my green house today to get ready to expand it.

So as Drew says ~Remember Were in the together~
Hey guys and gals~I was just gonna have Tacos and Burritos, but I thought I would take it a step futher and may Hay Stacks~
So I made Spanish Rice 1st~
I chopped~
2 Onions
2 Bell Peppers
3 Jalapeno Peppers
1 Cayenne Pepper
Some Garlic
I put this into a Cast Iron Dutch Over and Satueed w/
2 c. Long grain brown rice in about 2-4 TBL Oil, untill the peppers and onions were kinda softer, than I added 2 cans of Rotell Tomatoes and 2 1/2 c. water and cooked untill done.
Now for my meat, I browned 2 lbs ground beef with 1 Bell Pepper, 1 Onion, 2 Jalapenios and 1 Cayenne seasoned with Zaterans, then when done I drained it and added 2 packs of Fajita seasoning mix and 2/3 c water and simmered as the pack says.
I heated some refried beans and some white shelly beans I canned from last year (seperatly)
Now I will heat some round cruncy jalapeno tortillas, and some flour tortillas so each can have it the way they like it.....
I will put on my plate:
Broken Cruncy Tortillas, rice, beans and meat, taco sauce, cheese, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, and sourcream, you can add the toppings you like~~~Olives, avocados ect.....
Enjoy~
Ps the community here makes these and don't use refried beans and the make the powdered ranch dressing w/sourcream and put on it....and not taco sauce...So this is very variable, what makes these haystacks is the rice... :) Plus they also use plain rice...I wanted to JaZz it up~~~ ;)

Did you know the moon only comes this close to earth every 18 years? It was magnifacent.

That is a small number for them. They usually have a hog butchering bee in January and they have way more than 5, the whole community come together and do it. So do people far and wide show up just to watch, espically old timers. I guess it just takes them back to their way of life when they were young.
This is the main man in the valley who is a pro at butchering, so he does the finish work after the scalding and scraping. First he cuts the heads off, yes I know this sounds a little gross, but it is just a way of life and if you eat meat form the grocery store then it all starts bacially the same way.
That took most of the morning.
An dsecuring them. We sure don't want the pigs to get out.

They got totaly free and we began the chase to catch them. Now if you think it was a easy job, then think again. I had the tail and my 2nd daughter Serenity had the ears. And we literaly women handled them.We got one in the biggest, and it got free while we were after the smaller one. So here we go again. I would have taken pictures but all hands were on deck. We finally got them after about 1/2 hour. It seemed like hours.

Then I will can the rest in our pressure canner so I have no worries of freezer burn or if the power goes out I will not have spoiled meat. And if that does happen then I will just take out what I do have in the freezer and can it. It is a win, win situation. Y'all have a good day now. God Bless.

I also wanted to ask every one to say a prayer for those in Japan who have to deal with this devastation and great loss. But I would not have wanted to do it with anyone else...Life is great. We have a new ceder sided home with a large loft for the children to have for their own. We have 3 daughters and 1 little boy. Of course with my boy being the last and the baby he is a little spoiled and a sweert heart. When I ask for something he is the first to run at it....Well I just wanted gto let you know a little about our day today. I got to have a good long nap then woke up and made a big 'ol salad. Made skettie for supper and a German choc. cake with rich choch. icing mixed with coconut. It was a goo day and I am very blessed...mistyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08767632463705879532noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887102140234570070.post-9868696697291174432011-02-16T13:10:00.000-08:002011-02-16T13:10:43.609-08:00A Beautiful Day

Hi every one. Just wanted to drop in and say how beautiful this week has been. We are double digging our raised beds, and getting ready to get a new garden broke up. We have always heard you get the best potato crop if you plant them in fresh ground. So we have a part of a cow pasture behind us that we will be able to turn under and plant there. It will be a nice size garden. We want to grow 50 lb. each red and white potatoes. Peppers of all kinds mainly hot cayenne. Tomatoes, yellow and green squash, cabbage, and we will be growing our lettuce in our raised beds so we can control the heat this summer, so we will have fresh lettuce mostly through he hot part. It has been several years since we have planted a lg. garden. But it will be nice this year to can and have fresh veggies all summer long into the fall. Well just wanted to drop a few words of what is going on around the Cluck Farm You all have a nice day now...mistyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08767632463705879532noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887102140234570070.post-61440129890099385652011-02-09T04:39:00.000-08:002011-02-09T04:39:26.239-08:00Cold Feburary Morning.Good morning out there from Mistys Kitche.
